Are Colonics Sanitary?Modern colon hydrotherapy equipment is manufactured through compliance with strict FDA guidelines that dictate rigorous accountability. We use the Hydrosan Closed System. Our FDA-registered equipment features temperature controlled water mixing and back flow prevention valves, pressure and temperature sensors, and a built-in chemical sanitizing unit and water purification unit. We use disposable single-use speculae.
Disposable tubing and disposable paper drapes on the table are used, personalizing each session and maximizing the conditions for a sanitary environment. The water is finely filtered beforehand (removing any potential impurities to a size as small as .5 microns). |
What Is A Colonic Session Like?Oftentimes, people are not fully informed about what to expect from a colonic session. The entire process is approximately 45 minutes long and is supervised under the guidance of an I-ACT Certified Colon Hydrotherapist.
During the session, most clothing can be kept on. Also, you will be draped and a gown can be worn as well to ensure modesty. Your dignity is always maintained. A colonic produces no toxicity and is a comfortable experience for many people. As the session begins, water (at body temperature) is slowly introduced into the colon, gently stimulating its peristaltic action to remove softened waste. This may be repeated several times. In other words, the session is an alternating cycle of gently filling the colon with water and naturally releasing waste from the body. Deep relaxed breathing is encouraged. The removal of waste should encourage better colon health, function and elimination. |
Why Should I Be Concerned About My Colon? The colon has been referred to as the sewer system of the body. It is the place where we store the waste material that most of us would rather not think about and most of us don't until our health becomes poor or we feel constipated or have diarrhea. It greatly benefits the body to release this accumulated congestion in the bowel.
The colon (or large intestine) is a hollow tube-like organ made up of muscle structure that moves toxic materials out of the body by a wave-like motion known as peristalsis. When a person has constipation, the walls of the colon are generally packed or lined with accumulated feces. This causes extended periods of intestinal overloading. In this condition, the colon can neither absorb nor eliminate properly. Polluted blood from this system is picked up by the liver and circulates through every part of the body, reaching every cell. This condition is called toxemia or autointoxication (self-poisoning). To properly clean the body tissue, we must start by a thorough colon cleansing. A toxic colon (or bowel) is the source of many health problems. Colon cleansing is a valuable procedure that activates the body’s self-healing processes thereby allowing a more efficient means of waste elimination and nutrient absorption. |
